    BEER- 1A  9 5/8" tall, round cylinder pint with a blob top and a smooth base. Some of the wire bail is till attached to the neck. Deep orange amber glass that has some nice texture and a few nice air bubbles in it. Embossed on the front in a oval slug plate: " FREDERICKSBURG  /  F B CO (monogram) within a shield  /  BOTTLING CO. S. F." This is a nice early San Francisco beer bottle. Bottle is in near mint condition with no cracks, dings or stain. There is some inside dirt at the base that would clean. There are also some light scratches on the back and a small grind mark on the right shoulder. None of this takes away from this bottle. It displays super mint.  SOLD   

BEER- 2  (quart beer)   11 1/4" tall, round cylinder, quart bottle with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base that is embossed with " PCGW " ( Pacific Coast Glass Works ). Dark orange amber glass that has quite a few bubbles. Embossed on the front : " CLAUS WREDEN ( in cursive )  /  fancy monogram  /  BREWING CO.  /  S. F. "  Bottle is in  mint condition with no chips, cracks, stain or dings.  SOLD

BEER- 2A  (same as above) Pint   9 " tall, round cylinder pint bottle with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base that is embossed with " PCGW " ( Pacific Coast Glass Works ). Orange amber glass that has quite a few bubbles. Embossed on the front : " CLAUS WREDEN ( in cursive )  /  fancy monogram  /  BREWING CO.  /  S. F. "  Bottle is in  mint condition with no chips, cracks, stain or dings.  SOLD       

  BEER- 5  11 3/4" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled blob top and a smooth base. Light orange amber in color. Embossed on the front in a oval : "  REYMANN   /  BREWING CO.  /  WHEELING W. VA. " Back heal of bottle, near base is embossed with : " A. G. W. " ( American Glass Works). Please see last picture. This bottle is so crude! Full of nice air bubbles, swirls and what WHITTLE glass! This all adds to the character of this bottle. This bottle is from the early days of this company when they embossed their bottles with the American Glass Works initials. This bottle is in near mint condition with 3, very small flakes of glass missing from the very top of the lip. Also, a few light scratches exist on the bottle. These do not take anything away from this nice bottle. It displays super mint. No cracks, or stain!   $28.00

BEER- 6 (1/2 pint)  8" tall, round cylinder 1/2 pint ( split ) with a tooled blob top and a smooth base. A 4 part mold with orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : " NATIONAL LAGER  /  fancy monogram  /  H. ROHRBACHER AGT.  /  STOCKTON, CAL." A few nice air bubbles and texture to the glass add  character of this bottle. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a few light scratches, mainly around the shoulder area of the bottle. This is a very nice fancy Northern California beer bottle. $70.00 

BEER- 7 (1/2 pint split beer)   7 3/4" tall, round cylinder 1/2 pint with a tooled, blob top and a smooth, unmarked base. Very nice orange amber glass. 4 part mold. Embossed on the front : " ETNA BREWERY  /  ETNA MILLS " Bottle is in near mint condition with just some light scratches and some high point wear on a few of the letters ie: NA in Etna and BW in Brewery. Bottle displays mint! There a few nice seed bubbles and some stretch marks in the neck of bottle. This bottle comes from the "still" small town of Etna, California in the Scott Valley between Fort Jones and the Marble Mountains. In fact, the brewery is still in operation today. New owners since the Chas. Kappler family ran it years ago. But, I must admit, the micro brew they produce today is wonderful! By the way, this was not a paid advertisement! A nice, early 1880's beer bottle.   SOLD 

BEER- 9  11 1/4" tall, round cylinder quart, BIM with a tooled top and a smooth, slightly indented base. A nice med. yellow - green color. Looks to be Chinese embossing along the bottom of the bottle. ( please pictures ) Bottle is near mint with some very light scratches and a small ping on the very base, heel. No glass is missing. Some nice swirls and stretch lines in the glass give this bottle some nice appeal.  $30.00

BEER- 10 11 1/2" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. Orange amber in color. Embossed on the front : " BARNER & RIEBE  /  BOTTLERS  /  REDDING, CAL." Base is embossed with : H 174 ( Holt Glass Works of West Berkley, Cal. ) Some nice air bubbles and some specks of crud adds to the character of this bottle. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a pen point ping on the base heal. This does not take anything away from this nice Northern California bottle. No chips, cracks, scratches or stain!  $20.00

  BEER-11  10 3/4" tall, ABM, round, 1/2 gallon barrel form, screw top (missing metal cap). Bottle has a smooth base and a handle for pouring. Orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : " GOLDEN AGE  /  BEER  /  BREWED BY  /  GOLDEN AGE BREWERIES, INC.  /  SPOKANE WASHINGTON " Back is embossed with : " HALF GALLON ( at shoulder )  /  There is a oval slug plate on back for a label. Bottle is shaped like a barrel and has embossed bands and rivets. This bottle is in near mint condition with only a couple of light scratches and some inside dirt that would clean some TLC. No other problems and the ones mentioned are not that bad. Circa 1920's. I have just learned from a customer that lives in Spokane that the old Golden Age Brewery building still stands and has been completely restored and houses several different businesses.  $35.00 ( SOLD ) 

BEER-12  11 1/2" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base marked "S B & G CO.". Very nice deep, orange amber glass. Embossed on the front in oval slug plate : " ALBANY BREWERY  /  (monogram) A B & CO  /  ALBANY OR. " Bottle is in near mint condition with just a couple of light scratches on the back and around shoulder of bottle. Also, a couple of spots of dirt inside that look like would clean with some TLC.  None one of these takes anything away from this small town ( was then! ) Oregon beer. A nice, early 1880's beer bottle. There is also a frothy line of bubbles that extend from the left side base of the bottle up about 1 1/2". One bubble within the froth looks onion skin but is "no feel".  $55.00

  BEER-13  11 1/8" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base marked with " 571 H ". This is the mark of the Holt Glass Works in West Berkley, California. Very nice light, orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : " RENO BREWING CO.  /  RENO  /  NEV. " Bottle is in near mint condition with some light scratches and a small chip on the heal of the base. Chip is shown in my picture # 4. Bottle displays mint. There a few nice seed bubbles in the glass.  A nice, turn of the century beer bottle from Nevada.  $45.00    

BEER- GW    4" tall x 31/4" wide, ceramic or pottery beer mug. Mug advertises (in 2 colors) : " COMPLIMENTS OF  /  HULETER & BAKER  /  S. E. COR. HAYES & FILLMORE ST.  /  SAN FRANCISCO.  /  TO YOUR HEALTH  /  AND PROSPERITY.  /  1911 " Most of gold around rim is gone but enough remains to see it. Glaze has overall crazing (from age). Lettering is in very good condition with only two or three letters being light. May have been done from the making process. No chips, cracks, dings or stain. A nice mug but I could not find any history on the company. Can anyone help me in the history of this piece? Please contact me. $100.00

    12 1/2" tall with stopper in. Round cylinder quart, blob top and a smooth base. Nice, very light orange amber in color. Embossed in a oval slug plate : " MARYSVILLE BOTTLING WORKS   /  (monogram) D & C  /  MARYSVILLE, CAL. "  Bottle is super mint condition with overall whittle, streaks, bubbles and folds. This is one of the crudest beer bottles that I have ever seen! No chips, cracks, dings or stain! This bottle is complete with wire bail and porcelain stopper. This bottle was found in a pine needle tuft and was full of oil. Probably used to lubricate a saw. A great  bottle from the 1870's & 80's! This bottle is mentioned in Byron Martin's book " Here's To Beers " (# 159) but is not pictured. His description does not mention there being a monogram on the bottle. Can anyone tell me what the D & C  monogram stands for? This must be a very rare bottle from a small (was then) Sierra foothill town!

   9 1/8" tall, round cylinder pint bottle with a tooled blob top and a smooth base. A 4 part mold, orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : " ANCHOR BREWERY  /  anchor with rope around it  /  OAKLAND, CAL."   A few nice air bubbles in the glass add  character of this bottle. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a a flake of glass missing from the back side of the lip. It can be seen in the last picture. Other than that, it is mint. A very rare bottle!

  11 1/2" tall, round cylinder quart with a applied top and a smooth base. Very nice yellow / green in color. Glass has overall whittle and some crude glass Embossed on the front in a oval slug plate: " FREDERICKSBURG  /  F B CO (monogram) within a shield  /  BOTTLING CO. S. F.  /  THIS BOTTLE NOT  /  TO BE SOLD " This is a nice early San Francisco beer bottle. Bottle is in near mint condition with no cracks, dings or stain. There are a couple of small spots of very light scratches. A top shelf, window beer bottle!

  9 1/2" tall, Round cylinder pint with a style of blob top that is rare to find in this amber coloration. It is usually seen in the green glass variant.  Base is smooth. Lt. orange amber in color with a lighter color in the shoulder and top area. Embossed in a round slug plate : " BUFFALO BREWING CO.  /  S. F. AGENCY  /  monogram in the center " Bottle is very close to mint condition with only some very light scratches and a pin point ping on the front base heel. No chips, cracks, or stain! Some nice crudeness to the glass and the top! Nice!

  11 3/4" tall, round cylinder quart with a crude, early, applied, crown top and a smooth, unmarked base. Very nice, crude yellow - green glass. This bottle is usually found in amber glass. Embossing on front : " VICTORIA  /  BREWING CO.  /  VICTORIA B. C.  /  NOT TO BE SOLD ". Almost mint with just a few very light scratches. No chips, dings, pings, cracks or stain!  Nice crude glass with loads of swirls, whittle, bubbles and stretch lines. Oh, did I mention that the bottle leans to the right?

 11 1/4" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. Orange amber in color. Embossed on the front : "  P. MUGLER   /  SISSON, CAL. " Base is embossed with : P.C.G.W. ( Pacific Coast Glass Works ) A few nice air bubbles and some specks of crud adds to the character of this bottle. This bottle also comes from what is now known as the town of Mt. Shasta in Siskiyou County, Northern California. This bottle is in near mint condition with only a few light scratches on the front and back of the bottle. These do not take anything away from this nice bottle. No chips, cracks, or stain!    

 11 1/8" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. Dk. orange amber in color. Embossed on the front : " MT. SHASTA BOTTLING WORKS  /  MUGLER BROS  /  SISSON, CAL." This bottle bottle comes from what is now known as the town of Mt. Shasta in Siskiyou County, Northern California. This bottle is in near mint condition with only a burst bubble under the letter B in BOTTLING. This does not take anything away from this nice bottle. No chips, cracks, dings or stain! Bottle has some air bubbles and crud in the glass.   

  11 1/4" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. Orange amber glass. Embossed in slug plate on the front : " CHAS. KAPPLER  /  ETNA BREWERY  /  ETNA, CAL." Base is embossed with : H 276 ( Holt Glass Works of West Berkley, Cal. ) A lot of nice air bubbles and texture to the glass add    character of this bottle. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a few light scratches, mainly on the back of the bottle. This is a very rare Northern California bottle. Etna is a very small town in the Scott Valley, Siskiyou County California. Another one of my favorite Siskiyou County bottles!   

  11 1/4" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. Orange amber glass. Embossed in slug plate on the front : " MEAMBER BROS.  /  BOTTLERS  /  YREKA, CAL." Base is embossed with : H 174 ( Holt Glass Works of West Berkley, Cal. ) Some nice air bubbles and some specks of crud adds to the character of this bottle. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a pen point flake of glass missing on the top of the lip and a few light scratches. This does not take anything away from this very rare Northern California, Siskiyou County bottle.  

  (pint beer)   9 1/2" tall, round cylinder pint with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base. Very nice orange amber glass that has loads of crudeness. Bubbles, whittle, stretch marks, it is crude! Lighter in the top and darker in the base area. This bottle is made with a 4 part mold. Embossed on the front : " GRACE BROS. BREWING CO.  /  SANTA ROSA , CAL. (fancy monogram in center)   /  THIS BOTTLE IS NOT TO BE SOLD " Bottle is in near mint condition with the only thing wrong being a small bruise at the base of the lip where the wire bail was tight.      

  (1/2 pint split beer)   7 3/4" tall, round cylinder 1/2 pint with a tooled, blob top and a smooth base. Very nice orange amber glass. Darker in the top and base area and a lighter color in the center of the bottle. This bottle is made with a 4 part mold. Embossed on the front : " GRACE BROS. BREWING CO.  /  SANTA ROSA , CAL. (fancy monogram in center)   /  THIS BOTTLE IS NOT TO BE SOLD " Bottle is in mint condition. There is crudeness to the glass in the way of folds and some bubbles that add character to this bottle.

  11 5/8" tall, round cylinder quart with a tooled, crown top that has it's particle Baltimore loop bail attached.  Bottle has a smooth base that has the makings of the Holt Glass Works in West Berkeley, Cal ( H 272 ). Very nice orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : "  ROSEBURG  /   BREWING CO.  /  around a fancy monogram in center  /  ROSEBURG, OR." Embossing is very strong and pronounced. Bottle is in mint condition except for a light scuff next to the "R" in ROSEBURG. Bottle has quite a few nice seed bubbles and some crudeness to the glass. A rare Southern Oregon beer from a small town.

  11 1/2" tall, Round cylinder quart, blob top and a smooth base. Nice, orange amber in color. Embossed in a round slug plate : " BUFFALO BREWING CO.  /  picture of a buffalo jumping through a horseshoe  /   SACRAMENTO, CAL. " Bottle is very close to mint condition with only some very light scratches. No chips, cracks, dings or stain! Some nice crudeness to the glass. A great picture bottle from the 1870's & 80's!  

   10 3/4" tall, ABM, round, 1/2 gallon barrel form, screw top with metal cap. Bottle has a smooth base and a handle for pouring. Orange amber glass. Embossed on the front : " GOLDEN AGE  /  BEER  /  BREWED BY  /  GOLDEN AGE BREWERIES, INC.  /  SPOKANE WASHINGTON " Back is embossed with : " HALF GALLON ( at shoulder )  /  Slug plate with a partial label still attached. Bottle is shaped like a barrel and has embossed bands and rivets. Shown in picture 4. This bottle is in mint condition with no problems at all. Circa 1920's.

  10 3/4" tall, round, 1/2 gallon, barrel form with a ABM screw top (missing metal cap) and a smooth base. There is a handle for pouring. Orange amber glass with the color being lighter in the shoulder and base area of the bottle, darker in the center.  Embossed on the front : " HALF GALLON (near shoulder)  / GLOBE  /  BEER (within a globe)  /  BREWED BY  /  GLOBE BREWING CO.  /  SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF." Also, has some other smaller embossing on the bottle. The entire bottle looks like it is a barrel with slats and bands. This bottle is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings or stain. A super bottle! Circa 1920's  

   9 1/2" tall, Round cylinder pint with a tooled crown top and a smooth base. A nice, light orange amber coloration to the glass. Embossed in a oval slug plate : " RUHSTALLER'S  /  GILT EDGE  /  LAGER /  SACRAMENTO, CAL " This bottle is very close to mint condition with only a couple of light scratches and some inside dirt that looks like it would clean with some TLC.
