(A
RARE OREGON MINERAL WATER) 7 " tall, very light aqua glass, tooled
crown top with a smooth mug base that is embossed with the mark of the Holt
Glass Works in Berkley, California ( 338 H ) . Circa early 1900's. Embossed on the front
: " SISKIYOU NATURAL ( in a arch ) / MINERAL WATER
/ SODA SPRINGS / ORE. " This is a very rare bottle from a
place that does not exist anymore. Location used to be just south of Ashland,
Oregon. In near mint condition with only a
few light scratches, one very small pin point ping on the heal of the bottle and
some case wear on the word " ORE ". These are only
noted for accuracy and take nothing away from this very rare bottle. This bottle displays
super mint!
$100.00
SO-2 7" tall, aqua glass, Hutchinson type soda bottle.
tooled top and a smooth base.
Circa 1890's. Embossed on the front: " COOS BAY / SODA WORKS
/ J. A. GOLDEN / MARSHFIELD / OREGON " A
great bottle in mint condition. Nice seed (air) bubbles in the glass. There is a
large imperfection on the back of the bottle that looks like a burst bubble that
was done in the manufacturing process. Not a problem, it actually adds visual
appeal to the bottle. There are some white swirls throughout the bottle also. In
near mint condition, some light scratches keep it from being mint. A very rare
bottle from a small Oregon coastal town now called "Coos Bay"
$100.00
SO- 3 (WESTERN HUTCH) 6 1/2" tall, aqua glass, Hutchinson
type soda bottle with a ten sided mug base. Embossed in slug plate on front of
bottle : " BAY VIEW BOTTLING / WORKS / SEATTLE WASH. " The base is marked with
the symbol of the Holt Glass Works of West Berkley California. Super mint
condition this bottle would make a nice addition to any soda collection $65.00
SO- 4 6 7/8" tall, Hutchinson type soda. Lt. aqua glass
with a crude tooled top and a smooth base. Embossed on the front : "
BERNARD McGINITY ( in an arch ) / SACRAMENTO /
CAL. " A very rare bottle to come by! But, It does have it's problems which
I will describe next. This bottle has overall light scratches and some very
light spotty haze that a tumble would take care of. Also, there are two bruises.
One on the front shoulder and a smaller one on the front foot of the bottle
towards the base. These can be seen in picture #1 and in picture #3. There is
some highpoint wear on a few of the embossed letters. There are no chips or cracks.
Displays well despite my picky description. This is a
very hard bottle to find since Bernard McGinity started his business in 1894 and
then closed it in 1899. $80.00
SO- 5 NEVADA CITY, CAL. SODA
6 7/8" tall, Hutchinson type soda. Lt. aqua glass with a
tooled top and a smooth base. Embossed on the front : " NEVADA CITY

mint condition only a few very light scratches on the back of the bottle. Nice
strong embossing make this a great piece. The pictures do not do this
bottle justice! Circa early 1900's. SOLD

glass, early blob top, hutchinson type soda bottle. Bottle has loads of small bubbles and
crudeness to the glass. Base embossed only. Embossing
reads: " E. Higgins / Oroville ". This bottle is the
hardest and rarest version to get from the small town of Oroville, California. A
nice western hutch! A few minor scratches keep me from saying that this bottle

7/8" tall, Hutchinson type soda. Lt. aqua glass with a tooled top and a smooth base. Embossed on the front : "
MERRILL SODA WORKS ( in an arch ) / E. C. BALL /
PROP. / MERRILL, ORE " An extremely rare bottle! If you have
been through Merrill at all, one would wonder how a soda works business would
have survived? My guess is, that it didn't last long with the amount of bottles
known to exist. This bottle is in very near mint condition with only a few very
light scratches on the back of the bottle. Swirl lines in the shoulder area and
strong embossing make this a great piece. My pictures do not do this
bottle justice! Circa early 1899. $500.00

whittled glass and is loaded with thousands of seed bubbles. Near mint condition with no chips, cracks or

piece A very nice soda bottle that is typically found in the Northern California
area. Yreka, Siskiyou County. Is this a early bottle from the Shasta Soda Co. or
from a competitive company like Peter Mugler?

aqua glass,
tooled crown top, smooth base. Circa 1890's. Embossed on front in a waving flag
pattern : "
JOS. STEINACHER / AND SON. / YREKA, CAL. ". The
only thing keeping this bottle from being in mint condition is a very
small ping on the back of the bottle and some very light small scratches. I am being very picky about describing my bottles.
These do not detract from this piece at all! No chips,
cracks, other scratches, or stain. A rare bottle from a small northern California
town and another of my favorite bottles from Siskiyou County, California.
One
of my favorite bottles, here for all to enjoy! 8" tall, aqua glass, tooled crown top and a smooth base.
Circa 1900. Embossed on the front: " PARKINSON AND (at an angle) WISE / YREKA "
A mint condition piece! This is another "very" rare bottle from Siskiyou County,
California. I believe that there are only about ten whole examples of these known to exist in
collections. I would rate this as rare as the Meamber Bros. Bottlers amber quart
beer bottle, also from Yreka. I just found out that there is some company history
mentioned in Dr. Donald Meamber's book "SAWBONES IN SISKIYOU". Great book if you
ever get a chance to read it. Also, the location of this soda works was located somewhere near Hawkinsville, California,
until Meamber bought them out. Another one of my favorite Siskiyou County
bottle!
Early straight sided Coke 8" tall, light aqua glass, ABM,
seam over crown top. Smooth base has " COCA-COLA " in script embossed on it. On
shoulders in two places are embossed in scroll lettering : " COCA COLA /
TRADE MARK REGISTERED - MIN. CONTENTS 8 1/2 FL. OZ. " Embossed near
base is : " I. P. G. C. " ( Illinois Pacific Glass Co. ) This glass house was on
the west coast near San Francisco. A nice Coke bottle that has a few minor
scratches and some high point wear to the lettering. Also, some case wear around
the heal of the base exists. No other problems. Bottle is crude and has some
nice lines and small bubbles.
