ERROR INDIAN QUEEN BITTERS  BI-1  Ring / Ham # B224. 12" tall, figural Indian Queen shape, sheared, ground lip and a smooth base. Nice glass coloration with many different shades of light to dark orange amber. Color is lighter in the lip area, darker in the shoulder to the arms, a nice lighter color from below the arms to below the knees and then darker again to the base of the bottle. circa 1868 -1875. Embossed in slug plate 0n bottom left side is : " BROWN'S / CELEBATED ( note error in spelling )  / INDIAN HERB BITTERS " Embossed on rear panel near the base : " PATENTED  /  FEB 11 / 1868" A very nice bottle in mint condition! In the shearing & grinding process of the lip, some chipping has accrued. This is in the making and not considered damage. Noted for accuracy only, does not take anything away from this piece.  $800.00

BI-2 German Stomach Bitters   8 3/4 " tall, BIMAL, square form with chamfered corners. Applied lip and smooth base. Nice variations of yellow / green color glass that are lighter and darker all over the bottle. Embossed on 3 panels :  panel # 1 " R. RENNER  /  HOF. " Panel # 2 " KgL. BAYR  HOFLIEFERANT "  Panel # 3 " SPECIALITAT RENNER'S  /  ROSSBACHER MAGENBITTER  /  GESCHUTZT D. R. M. No.48831 "  Embossing is hard to read in some places due to all of the crudeness and whittle throughout the bottle. What great eye appeal! This bottle would be in super mint condition if it was not for a few very light scratches on one panel up around the shoulder. You have to really look hard to see them. Noted for accuracy and does not take away from this nice piece.  $175.00

BI-3 UNLISTED SAMPLE SIZE VARIANT  Ring / Ham # B79. 4 1/8" tall, BIM, sample size, round, yellow / green in color with crude glass. Very nice color! Smooth base with a tooled, rounded collar lip. Embossed on the bottle from base to shoulder : "DR BERGELT'S  /  MAGENBITTER  /  RICHARD BAUMEYER"   Near mint condition with no chips, cracks or stain. The bottle does have a bruise to the very top of the lip. There is no glass missing though. A very rare sample bitters bottle that I have never seen before!  $50.00

BI-4  Ring / Ham # L70. 11 1/4" tall, BIM, whiskey type cylinder shape with a tooled lip. Yellow green glass, three mould bottle with some nice seed bubbles and whittle to the glass. Embossed on edge base, "Burgunder Wein Bitter Leipziger" Embossed on inner edge of the kick-up of the bottle, "The Hochstadter Co. Some light spots of inside haze and an ice pick chip on the lip keep this bottle from being mint. A rare bitters bottle in a great color!  $50.00

BI-5  12 7/8" tall, BIMAL, lt. orange amber glass that is darker towards the base, round cylinder form with a stretched, long lady leg style neck. Applied top and smooth base. This bottle is not embossed. Bottle has been pro. cleaned but does still retain a few ground marks to the glass. Also, there is a broken bubble in the inside neck and one at the heal of the bottle. None of these takes anything away from the beauty of this piece. Otherwise, I would consider this bottle to be in near mint condition with some very nice bubbles and crudeness to the glass! A nice lady leg bitters bottle.  SOLD

BI-5A  9" tall, BIM, yellow / orange amber glass, round cylinder form with a lady leg style neck and a tooled lip. Smooth, slight kick-up base. Embossed on front near base : " THE HOCHSTADTER CO. Near mint condition with no  cracks, dings or stain. There is a chip on the front panel between the two T's in BITTERS and some light base wear.  101/2" tall, early ABM, rounded barrel shape with medium orange amber glass. Has 99.9% complete label that is not faded but darkened with age that mentions BITTER as well as a lot of other writing that is not in English. There are a few, very small, pieces of the edges of label that are missing. No bad at all, a very nice label! Bottle has 7 rings on the shoulder and 6 rings on the base. Embossed on front : " HESPERIDINA  /  BAGLEY  /  UN BARRIL  /  INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA " Base has a triangle embossed with C R B around it. Very nice, mint condition piece with no problems at all. Inside of bottle still remains an old cork and spots of content residue that would clean out with some care being given to the label ( looks like small bubbles in the glass ). The base has four felt pads attached to help keep the bottle from sliding. These were put on by the former owner and can quite easily be taken off. The last one of these I saw, sold at Glass Works Auctions for over $400 not counting the10% commission & shipping costs!

9 1/4 " tall, figural barrel form, orange amber glass that is lighter in color in the shoulder and center area, Applied  top and smooth base. Front panel is embossed: " DR. C. ROBACKS  /  STOMACH BITTERS  /  CINCINNATI. O " A wonderful bottle mint condition with some nice bubbles and texture to the glass. There is a shallow, in the making burst bubble on the back of the bottle. It is so shallow that I could not even get a picture of it. It is not bad! Also, there is a large bubble on the shoulder that has a pot stone in it. No problems coming from this at all. Base has the typical wear. A very nice figural barrel.

WESTERN BITTER FLASK Ring / Ham # Y4. (short) 8 1/4" tall, crude bent applied top. This is a very early 1870's version of this flask style bottle that has the curved R's, characteristic of the western glass houses. The embossing is very bold and The Yerba Buena embossing looks like it started running before the glass cooled. Embossed on two opposite side panels : " YERBA BUENA  /  BITTERS, S. F. CAL. " Coloring is a nice light golden amber and this bottle has lighter color swirls that go from the top to about 3/4 of the way down towards the base. Mint condition there is are two spots of internal haze (not bad) and a small spot of in the making roughness on the ring below the lip. Only noted for accuracy, does not take anything away from this very nice piece. No chips, cracks, dings or pings!

12 1/8" tall, yellow / olive green glass, BIMAL with a smooth base. Embossed on the front  : " HERTRICH'S GESUNDHEITS BITTER   /   HANS HERTRICH HOF (in center)  /  ERFINDER u ALLEIN   /  DESTILLATEUR (near base) " Embossed on back, near base : " GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT " I believe that Gesundheit translates to sneezing. Therefore, this must have contained a bitters for sneezing? This bottle is in super mint condition with no chips, scratches, cracks, dings or stain. Embossing strike is a little light but very readable. A very tall and rare bitters bottle! Origin is from Germany.

9 3/4" tall, yellow / olive green glass, seam over ABM with a smooth base. Embossed on the front panel : " HERTRICH'S BITTER  /  EINZIGER FABRIKANT  /  HANS HERTRICH HOF  /  GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT " This bottle is in near mint condition with only a small, thin flake from the lip. No other chips, scratches, cracks, dings or stain. A very rare bitters bottle to get! Origin is from Germany.

Rare Lash's variant  9 1/4 " tall, square shape, BIM with a tooled top and smooth base. Lt. orange amber glass with two spots of interior dirt on the back panel that would clean.  Embossed on front panel : " LASH'S LIVER BITTERS " Embossed on the back : " NATURE'S  /  TONIC LAXATIVE " A nice clean bottle that has a small flake of glass missing off of a base corner and a couple of very light scratches on the back panel. Only noted for accuracy and does not detract from this nice piece. This bottle sure looks like it might have been made in one of the western glass factories.

9 1/2" tall, square shape with rounded edges, ABM bottle with " F G W " embossed on the smooth base. Orange amber glass, lighter in the shoulder area and darker in the base area. Embossed on front panel :  " LASH'S  / BITTERS " Bottle does have some spots of interior dirt, that would clean and some minor spotty haze on the front panel by the TERS in bitters. No other stain, chips, cracks or dings. A very shallow open burst bubble is on the left side panel of bottle. Noted for accuracy.

9 " tall, square shape, BIM with a tooled top and smooth base. Orange amber glass. Bottle is in mint condition but there is a funny looking line that travels all the way around the bottle just below the shoulder. Darker orange amber top, yellow amber color in the center and a lighter yellow amber in the corners. A nice lighter color bottle that my pictures do not do justice too! Embossed on the front roof panels : " S T ( light strike)  /  DRAKES  /  1860  /  PLANTATION  /  X  /  BITTERS" On rear roof panels : "PATENTED  /  1862 " On two roof panels. Near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings or stain. There are two burst bubbles, one on the left rear corner and the other about 1" to the right of the first one on the lower rear roof panel. You have to feel them, very hard to see. Some light base wear. Nice bottle with some uneven glass panels. This bottle would grace anyone's shelf!

SEMI CABIN FORM  9 1/2" tall, dark orange amber glass with lighter shading in the center of the bottle, applied, drippy glass lip and a smooth base.
