NEW YORK, CHICAGO " Bottle is in near mint condition with no chips or cracks. But, there is some light inside haze and a few scuff marks around the bottle. These are not bad! A nice colored western citrate bottle that some nice whittle & texture to the glass. $70.00 DS-1D Amber Round Owl 8 " tall, BIM, round form with a tooled ring lip and smooth base. Light orange amber glass. Embossed on front : " Owl sitting on a mortar & pestle. " Embossed on pestle: " T O D C O " Which is for THE OWL DRUG CO. On the back of the bottle, under close inspection, there is a ghosted or slugged out Owl Logo! You can see this in the third picture. A nice bottle that is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings or heavy stain. There is a slight inside haze in the back left side area also a light scratch on the right side of the bottle. This bottle would respond well to a pro. cleaning. The strike on the owl is very good! There are some nice bubbles in the glass. This bottle was used to hold hydrogen peroxide and is unusual to find with this slugged out Owl on the back. $120.00 DS-1E Small Round Owl 7 1/8" tall, BIM, round form with a tooled ring lip and smooth base. Clear glass with a amethyst tint. This is an older bottle than the DS-1B bottle. Embossed on front in a slug plate : " Grand pappy owl sitting on a mortar & pestle." Embossed in pestle : " T. O. D. CO. " ( The Owl Drug Co. ) / TRADE MARK " No embossing on the back. A nice bottle with no cracks, dings or stain. There is a chip and a small pin point ping on the ring lip, shown in the 4th picture. Bottle displays mint. The strike on the owl and the mortar & pestle is strong and nice. There are some nice air bubbles to the glass. This bottle was used to hold products for the hair. $30.00 DS-1F Large Square Owl 8 1/8" tall, seam over ABM, square form with three indented panels and a rounded back for a label. Bottle has a ring lip and smooth base. Clear glass with some content residue. Embossed on front : " two wing owl sitting on a mortar & pestle." Embossed in pestle : " T. O. D. CO. " ( The Owl Drug Co. ) Embossed on side panel : " STANDARD " Embossed on other side panel : " PHARMACEUTICALS " Embossed on the base : " THE OWL DRUG CO. SAN FRANCISCO ". A nice, clean bottle in mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings or stain. The strike on the owl and the mortar & pestle is strong and nice. The rope that held the paper seal is still around the under side of the lip and the cork is still in the bottle. SOLD DS-2 Unlisted 7 1/2" tall, rectangle form with beveled edges and panels. Clear glass, early ABM bottle. Embossed on front panel only : " GEO. Z. WAIT CO. / SACRAMENTO / CAL. " Bottle is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or dings. Just some spots of inside haze ( mainly on the side panels. Nice, uneven glass with a few waves in the back take back anything that the haze might take away. Still, a nice, unlisted western drug or pharmacy bottle! I have never seen another of these bottles. So, I would guess that they were not made for a long period of time? $25.00 DS-3 Western Sterilizer ( 3 piece complete set ) 5 1/8 " tall when put together. Nice yellow amber glass. Embossed on front of center piece : " THE GOLDEN / ONE MINUTE / STERILIZER " Base on all three pieces are embossed with the Golden Co. trade mark : " JOHN O. GOLDEN INC. / GOLDEN'S PRODUCTS / PORTLAND, ORE. " A nice western drug store item that is in near mint condition. Only thing keeping it from being super mint are 2 very and I mean very small flakes missing from the rim of one of the plates. I am being very picky, this item is very nice! This is a very rare item when in a complete set. SOLD DS-4 ( Larger 8" bottle ) 8" tall, Rectangle shape with rounded sides, clear glass with a ring lip and smooth base. Base is embossed with " W. T. & CO. " Embossed on front in a slug plate: " 3X11 ( at shoulder ) / BOWMAN'S / DRUG STORE / FORTUNA, CAL. " A nice bottle from a small northern coastal California town. A very clean bottle that is in near mint condition with only a few light scratches. My pictures do not do this bottle justice! $45.00 DS-5 Western Citrate 8 " tall, BIM, rounded form, clear glass ( turning purple ) with a tooled lip and smooth base. Embossed on the front : " ANCHOR DRUG CO. ( in a arch) / monogram within a anchor / SACRAMENTO / AND / SAN FRANCISCO " This bottle is in near mint condition with only some light pitting on rings on the back of the bottle. Also, some very light rust and scratches from the metal bail that once was on this bottle. Only mentioned for accuracy, this is a nice looking bottle and hard to get these days. $70.00 DS-6 Western Citrate 8 " tall not counting the metal bail and porcelain stopper that are still attached. ABM, rounded form, clear glass ( with a yellow tint ), tooled lip and smooth base. Embossed on the front in a slug plate : " SHUMATE'S / PRESCRIPTION ( in a arch) / 27 / PHARMACIES / SAN FRANCISCO ( in a reverse arch ) " Embossed on back shoulder is cursive : " SHUMATE'S " This bottle is in super mint condition with no problems at all. A nice looking bottle and also hard to get these days. SOLD DS-7 Large Drug Store Bottle 8 3/4 " tall, BIM, rectangle form, clear glass with a tooled ring lip and smooth base. Embossed on the front in a diamond shape : " POWERS & ESTES / monogram within a diamond, P / E / PORTLAND, / OREGON. " This bottle is in near mint condition with only some light inside haze. No other problems and this was only mentioned for accuracy. The haze is not bad. $50.00 DS-8 2 1/4" in diameter, made of celluloid (old plastic) pocket mirror that advertises : " PLANTLAX / THE GREAT SYSTEM REGULATOR / FOR SALE BY ALL DRUGGISTS " Also says : " MFG. BY NATURE'S HERB CO. / SAN FRANCISCO CAL. USA " Color in the celluloid is faded and there a few scratches and spots on the mirror. A picky description this is still a nice pocket mirror. $25.00 DS-9 7 1/4" tall, BIM, clear glass, Thin, free blown glass. Round in form, bottle has a uneven flared lip and a sticky ball glass pontil base. Inside neck of bottle is wheel ground to accept the glass stopper which is also ground around the outside to fit snuggly into the bottle. The bottle is in mint condition. The stopper has (2) small chips under the top rim of the stopper. Also, has some very small flakes missing from the bottom of the stopper. Done in the making?? Possibly? In my last picture posted of the stopper, it looks like there is a large chip at the base. This is a " in the making " error not a chip. The mold was not filled with enough glass resulting in a under pour in the mold. There are also a couple of stress flashes in the stopper. The bottle & the original stopper display very nicely. No embossing or label. Circa 1860's $28.00 DS-10 6" tall, BIM, rectangle form with camphor front corners.The back corners are rounded. Clear glass with a ring lip and smooth base that has a half moon shape on it. Embossed on front : " measurements in ounces on the right side ( 3 ) and measurements in C C's on the left ( 90 ). Between these measurements is embossed : " GEORGE A. WILBUR / REGISTERED APOTHECARY / FREEPORT, ME. " A nice bottle in near mint condition. There is some light, spotty inside haze but no chips, cracks or dings. My pictures do not do this bottle justice! $20.00 DS-11 Rare Small Town Bottle 5 3/4" tall, BIM, rectangle form with camphor front corners.The back corners are rounded. Bottles and stopper are stuck together. So, liquid does not come out. Stopper has embossed on it : " S over T 16 / K / USA ". No other embossing. A very nice, old drug store display piece. Embossing reads on front only : " DICKEY / PIONEER / 1850 (within a mortar & pestle) / CHEMIST / S. F. " Nice bubbles and textured glass gives this bottle character. Bottle has a couple of light spots of haze towards the base on the front and left side panel. I am, again, being very picky! this does not take anything away from this piece. No chips, cracks, dings, or scratches. These bottles come in a wide variety and range of colors. Do you have this color yet? A very nice, older, rare colored, western drug bottle with a drippy lip that will thrill you! (HUGE STORAGE JAR) 12 " tall, base is 5 1/2" across and capacity is 6 quarts. A nice yellow - green glass that is very crude with texture, swirls and whittle. BIM with a ground top and smooth base. This jar is un-embossed but it's crudeness makes up for the lack of embossing. Bottle is in very near mint condition with no problems except for a very light scratch or two. The ground top is perfect with no chips! A very rare druggist or chemist dispensing jar. LARGE 10 " tall with glass stopper in, rectangle form with rounded corners. Clear glass with a ring lip and smooth base. Label under glass reads: "FERR. / SUB CARB. " Label is made of enamel and has black lettering on a white background. Lettering is bordered by a box done in gold leaf. Glass over label is complete and in mint condition. Base is embossed with: " PAT. D MARCH 6th 1894 / ST. LOUIS, MD." Bottle and stopper are in mint condition except for a light interior haze to the bottle which is caused by the chemical stored in it. Stopper is made in a three piece mould system and is ground to fit into the top of the bottle that is also ground. No problems at all! A nice, large drug store item made for a druggist or chemist to dispense from. 8 1/2 " tall, ABM, oval form, with vibrant yellow / green glass. Bottle has a ring lip and smooth base. Embossed on the front in an oval : " WYETH & BRO. / PHILAD'A " A very nice, clean bottle in mint condition. A very nice western pharmacy bottle from Eastern Oregon. 6 1/8" tall, BIM, oval shape, Lt. cobalt blue glass with a smooth base. Bottle is embossed on front with : " WOODWARD / CHEMIST / NOTTINGHAM " A nice bottle with textured glass and a few nice bubbles. Also, has a small amber streak in the glass on the back of the bottle. Bottle is in near mint condition with only a few light scratches. ( mainly on the back ) A very nice bottle that has some character. This bottle is from England. Early Western Druggist 7 1/2" tall, BIM, rectangle form with a square collar lip and smooth base. Lt. aqua glass. A early Sacramento druggist bottle. It has the curved "R's" that are characteristic of the 1870's western glass house. Bottle is embossed on three indented panels. (Front panel) : " R. E. GOGINGS / DRUGGIST / (left panel) : 262 J. STREET / (right panel) : SACRAMENTO " The back is plain for a paper label. A nice bottle that is in near mint condition. Only thing keeping it from being a mint bottle is some light inside haze in the neck and shoulder area and a few light scratches. No chips, cracks, or heavy stain. Embossed on the front : " C. MENTZ DRUGGIST / EUREKA, H. B. / CAL. " ( H. B. is for Humboldt Bay ) This is a early Northern California drug store bottle. This bottle is in near mint condition with only a small sliver of glass missing from front, near the base of the bottle. Only mentioned for accuracy, this is a nice looking bottle and also very rare. 5 1/4" tall, Rectangle shape with rounded sides and back, clear glass with a ring lip and smooth base. Embossed on front in a slug plate: " WHITING'S ( on a angle ) / DRUG STORE / OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA. " Base is plain. A nice bottle from a small (was then) Northern California town. Bottle is in mint condition! Bottle is 3" tall to the top of the cork, round form with a label only. Clear glass, BIM bottle. Label reads: " GOLD SEAL / ANALGESIC DROPS FOR TOOTHACHE / CONTAINS CHLOROFORM " Plus more! Bottle and original box are in mint condition. Box has one scuff on a corner. Bottle has some content and is intended solely for collecting & displaying purposes! This product was produced on 4th & Noble St. in Columbus Ohio. 5" tall with glass stopper in, rectangle form with rounded corners. Clear glass with a ring lip and smooth base. Label under glass reads: " LYSOL " Label is made of enamel and has white lettering on a red background all bordered by a box done in gold leaf. Glass over label is complete and in mint condition. Base is embossed with: " W. T. CO. U. S. A. " Bottle is mint except for the inside residue left because the stopper is stuck in the top. No problems at all! A rare Lysol bottle made for a druggist or chemist to dispense from. A full, never opened bag, label only, tied with string. " POWDERED GINSENG ROOT " This product is from the " DAVIS / CITY DRUG STORE / PAXTON, ILL. " This is in mint condition! Packet has original content and is intended solely for collecting & displaying purposes! 5 1/4" tall including lid, round jar. Made of milk glass. Front label and orange & gray lines are ACL. (applied ceramic label) Not antique, probably circa 1970 or 80, but an interesting advertising piece for the narcotic " DARVON " I would think that these were given out by drug company representatives to doctors or surgeons. The ironic thing about it was that the jar probably held candy for the doctor and or staff to eat. What kind of advertising was that? Mint condition! ( 2 Pill Bottles ) # 1 (on left) is a empty, amber glass, 3 3/4", ABM, screw top with original metal cap : " BAKER'S CATHARTIC TABLETS " (On label) Bottle has no embossing. # 2 (on right) is a full, never opened, cobalt blue glass, 3 3/8", ABM, screw top with original metal cap : " PAPOIDS / AN AID TO DIGESTION " (on mint condition label) bottle. Back of bottle is embossed in a circle a backwards " P " and regular " P ". This is a product put out by the Johnson & Johnson Co. This bottle has original content and is intended solely for collecting & displaying purposes! Both bottles are in mint condition. The back label on the Baker's bottle has some dirt and a couple of tears on it. But this is not bad. 2 5/8 " tall, BIM, square form, with nice orange amber glass, a tooled ring lip and smooth base that is embossed with " W. T. CO . / U. S. A. " Also embossed on the front of the bottle : " DR. J. F. ROE / BINGHAMTON - N. Y " This bottle is in near mint condition with only some spotty haze. No chips, crakes, dings or heavy stain. A nice Doctor bottle from New York. 2 5/8 " tall, BIM, square form, with nice cobalt blue glass. This bottle also has a tooled ring lip and smooth base that is embossed with " W. T. CO . / U. S. A. " (as above) Also embossed on the front of the bottle : " DR. J. F. ROE / BINGHAMTON - N. Y " This bottle is in near mint condition with only a couple of areas with spotty haze.
